House of Prayer and Healing built in a Hospital

The very first 24-7 prayer room created by Nicola Carleton at Florida Hospital. This creative, interactive sacred space was soon overflowing with prayers from the patients, families, employees and the community. This beautiful 2 week experience was captured on this 3 minute video produced by Florida Hospital.

Blissful Ministries is a dream of Nicki Carleton, a soujourner, a disciple of Christ who's mission is to change the culture of prayer in churches, schools and communities and bring the experience of the Holy Spirit wherever she goes. She loves to disciple others in knowing the incredible power of having an intimate relationship with Jesus and hearing his voice.

Nicki travels the world designing and creating interactive prayer rooms in schools, universities, churches, conferences, and hospitals igniting a passion for prayer. This is a ministry that is left behind as prayer rooms are continued on at the schools after she has left. She empowers and encourages others to build prayer rooms and create interactive worship experiences that make the presence of God come alive. She also creates prayer rooms for children and teens, for different cultures and languages.

As well as preaching, giving children's stories and children's prayer workshops and giving workshops on creating experiential worships, she helps run retreats in Spiritual Formation.

Nicki lives by faith alone through the generous sponsorship of those she meets along this incredible journey. Originally from Australia she is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee and wouldn't trade this adventure for anything this world has to offer.

You certainly are filled with the Spirit, Nicki! The fruits are delicious and beautiful! I want to encourage anyone who might be interested in blessing and engaging your hometown community with an interactive prayer experience to consider contacting Nicki to assist you in developing this ministry. She works closely with the local congregation to set up a sustainable experience room that is culturally sensitive and totally God-focused.

Linda, I think I have deleted a comment of yours by mistake!! My apologies. You can do what Stephen does. Talk to him about what is needed, or trawl around on his website. I think environmental projections would go great at a RED event. Its an easy…

Nice stuff Cyndi. I like the thinking you have done around what you do, before you do it! Not enough people make that kind of close contextualisation to their congregation. Nice.

This makes me think about what my high school jazz teacher said: "It is the silence between the notes that creates the rhythm." Saying this was one of the ways he motivated antsy, immature, 16 yr. old jazz musicians to stop playing so many notes wh…
