haha, wow! actually, most of my family lives in the Quad City area and I grew up in Port Byron so I know there is more to the great midwest than just corn...i mean there's John Deere too!?! :-)

oh, Josh......there is MUCH more in Iowa (and Illinois, for that matter) than CORN! (but you might find this interesting.....remember the old movie "Children of the Corn" (Stephen King) ??? Well, they are re-making the movie, and shooting it RIGHT HERE IN THE IOWA/ILLINOIS QUAD CITY AREA! (I know, not the best type of movie, but hey, we're not picky in Iowa! - just when it comes to corn!!!!)
So, we "Ioweegans" don't take our corn lightly! Just remember, the best beef is corn-fed beef.....and a lot of cars run on Ethanol, which is made from corn, and I could go on and on but I won't bore you any more than I already have!
Maybe on your next trip to the QCA, I could give you a tour our famous soybean fields......but that's for another time.
