Ginghamsburg has some Worship Venues that branch off of this meeting... There are 6 house churches, a cafe church on Sunday morning, and a Monday Night church... Sunday Cafe and Monday Night worship take place at our two south campus locations (the original building and the second building). Currently, we've just merged with Fort McKinley UMC in Dayton... The FORT was a dying church, but now have full access to Ginghamsburg's resources and have a full time on-site pastor. The church has grown from 20 to 300 in just 6 months. All the creative support is coming from this team at the moment, but there are hopes that the Fort will soon develop a team of their own. The Fort Pastor joins this team now on a regular basis.

One question. Mike told us that they help coordinate ministry for a number of smaller churches in their area. Do they share this worship planning with them too?

The amazing thing is that they have weekly been dedicating staff and time for effective worship for years. Wish we could find a way for web to enable "worship think tanks" to share with others.

Nice stuff Cyndi. I like the thinking you have done around what you do, before you do it! Not enough people make that kind of close contextualisation to their congregation. Nice.

Thanks, again, to Eric Herron for his "Show and Tell" post! Glad I could be a "guinea pig" for this new way to connect with others on the site. Anyway, I mentioned that I created a PowerPoint presentation to go with the Genesis 1 creation story. It…

This makes me think about what my high school jazz teacher said: "It is the silence between the notes that creates the rhythm." Saying this was one of the ways he motivated antsy, immature, 16 yr. old jazz musicians to stop playing so many notes wh…
