Creative Worship Tour

Don't worry this isn't like summer reading for school where you're forced to read horrible stuff like Emma or The Scarlet Letter (I do appreciate some of the classics, just not those two). Anyway, here are four blogs I've started following recently.

Grey Scale Gorilla
Nick Campbell is a motion designer in Chicago and uses the blog to share creative ideas and tutorials. Check out my favorite post so far.

Inside North Point Media
Did a post a while ago about North Point's launch of a group of blogs maintained by North Point staff to give people an inside look at how they do things. Specifically I've been following their Media team's updates. Check out this post on how they light and key their TenBefore announcement video.

ChurchKreatives
Fellow tour member, Brandon Riley, has developed a new community for creatives in the church at ChurchKreatives. While the site is still pretty new, his posse is pushing out some great content on topics from stage design and video production to font management and branding. Check out this post on how to promote an upcoming service through story.

JoeCavazos.com - Church & Creativity
I just found Joe's blog a few days ago but I already love what I see. He has some great walk throughs of graphics and other projects he's done. Check out this screen cast time lapse he made while designing a graphic for an upcoming project.

If you want to see more of the blogs I'm following, check out my Google Reader shared feed here.

Leave a comment below if you're a Hawthorne or Austen fan and feel the need to chastise me or if you want to share the blogs you're following.

Thanks, Jim! We've got this crazily creative God and I've got His blood! This particular worship is an example of one of His last minute directives. Inspired late Thursday night and presented Saturday afternoon. I had never done or seen anything lik…

Not going to tackle your question (right now). But great point on the relationship between our prayer life and our creativity. I dig that. Here is my question: Do you know more worship pastors and pastors who have a deep and dynamic prayer life, or…

Linda, you are one crazily creative lady. You interwove so many elements into this liturgy of weaving... spectacular. Too good.

I always knew you were a closet Steven Curtis Chapman fan! :) Erwin McManus talks about creativity being an overflow of a dynamic prayer walk and I know that's definitely been true in my own life. When I'm really walking closely with God and looking…
