An aspect of creative worship you are passionate about?
Seeing God move through all creative means. We serve a creative God who calls us to be creative. I love to see people creatively share God's love.
A challenge when planning creative worship?
budget, time, and equipment but God is bigger than all of that combined and speaks will a still soft voice - never let anything get in the way of imagination and creativity.
A favorite creative moment in worship?
Seeing it all come together and connect. Sometimes the planning, scheduling, rehearsing, and such can get in the way of just getting lost in the moment of worship when it all comes together.
A favorite quote or scripture about creative worship:
Your love is a symphony
All around me
Running through me
Your love is a melody
Underneath me
Running to me
Your love is a song
- Switchfoot
Music uniquely among the arts is both completely abstract and profoundly emotional. It has no power to represent anything particular or external, but it has a unique power to express inner states or feelings. Music can pierce the heart directly. It needs no mediation.
