Community Ground Rules

We want to grow a community that fosters conversation and sharing among members. Please help us reach that goal by keeping the following ground rules in mind:

Respect each other.
Help us create an environment where people can share openly and honestly. As creative leaders we are very passionate about what we do and are bound to disagree from time to time. Please do not let those disagreements get in the way of the common purpose everyone on this site shares: to find creative ways to communicate the grace and hope of Jesus in order to engage those who need to hear it. As you post comments, upload videos and engage in conversations, please do so with the right spirit and with that common purpose in your mind.

Use accessible language.
Since we are all trying to learn and share with each other, please make sure you keep your conversations, postings, videos, etc. as accessible as possible so you don't alienate certain groups. Avoid denominational acronyms and explain technical terms where appropriate so everyone can participate.

Join the conversation.
You don't need to be an expert to contribute to this site. Don't just watch the videos or read the blogs and conversations, join in. Ask questions, share your experiences, post videos of interviews with your church's creative team, take pictures of how you set up your stage for Easter. For this site to grow into a useful tool, we need your help in developing the content so please join the conversation.

Well, I don't know if you noticed, Linda P., but my bio changes weekly. One never knows when Minneapolis might pop up! Mmmm. Beans and cornbread.

Oh, I keep forgetting to mention my disappointment that Minneapolis isn't included in the list of exotic destinations to which Eric-in-the-3rd-person has traveled.

My long-term olfactory memories of church, which no doubt influence my memories of God: the smell of peppermint (and later, eucalyptus) candies from my mother's purse mixed with the smell of melting beeswax mixed with the smell of mildewed, moth-bal…

Thank you, Alex, for this deeply personal blog. What a beautiful gift your mother gave to you and your entire family by accepting hospice care during her final days and hours. May you draw strength from sharing that final journey with her as you gri…

Hey, Paul. Thanks for the comment. I'm not making a case that these things need to happen (evangelical's moving to the liturgy) - I'm documenting the fact that they are happening and spending time hearing why that might be. All around the world, chu…
