I could really use some tips. We combine with four other area Lutheran Churches to celebrate Reformation. I would like to, weather permitting, have the crucifer and vested clergy all gathered outside before the worship begins. At that point have the crucifer knock on the door and the procession begin after some brief dialogue with the singing of "A mighty fortress." What do you think about that?

the knocking would symbolize Luther nailing the 95 Thesis to the Witt. door. The dialogue would be perhaps a reading from the Diet of Worms ending with "Here I stand" Only the people in the procession would be outside. Make sense?

Saying this was one of the ways he motivated antsy, immature, 16 yr. old jazz musicians to stop playing so many notes wh…
